Oxycodone Hydrochloride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Eleuthero interacts with.

Theoretically, eleuthero might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
In vitro and animal research suggest that standardized extracts of eleuthero might inhibit CYP2D6. However, research in healthy human volunteers has found that taking eleuthero 485 mg twice daily for 14 days does not inhibit CYP2D6 drug metabolism.

Here's the gist for oxycodone. One of the enzymes that helps process oxycodone is called CYP2D6, and lab and animal studies hinted that eleuthero might slow that enzyme down. In theory, if that enzyme were blocked, you could see slightly stronger opioid effects, things like more drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or slowed breathing.

The good news is that when this was actually tested in people, taking eleuthero (485 mg twice a day for two weeks) did not measurably affect CYP2D6. So this is mostly a theoretical concern, and it's rated minor and unlikely. Still, because oxycodone is a strong opioid, it's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
