Polythiazide, Prazosin falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Goldenseal interacts with.

Theoretically, goldenseal might increase the risk of hypotension when taken with antihypertensive drugs.
Goldenseal contains berberine. Animal research shows that berberine can have hypotensive effects. Also, an analysis of clinical research shows that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with amlodipine alone. However, this effect has not been reported with goldenseal.

Minizide is a combo pill that pairs prazosin (which relaxes blood vessels) with polythiazide (a water pill). Both already work to bring your blood pressure down. The concern here is simple: goldenseal contains berberine, and there's a chance it can nudge blood pressure lower too. Stacked on top of your medicine, the worry is your pressure dropping a bit more than intended.

To be honest, this is a theoretical caution based mostly on lab and animal work, not strong human reports with goldenseal itself. Still, if you do combine them, just watch for dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint when you stand up quickly (prazosin is already known for that 'first-dose' drop). Don't change anything on your own. A quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor is the smart move.
