Glasdegib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Grape interacts with.

It is unclear if grape seed extract inhibits or induces CYP3A4; research is conflicting.
In vitro evidence suggests that grape seed extract might inhibit CYP3A4 enzymes. However, evidence from animal research shows that grape seed extract may induce CYP3A4 in the liver. So far, these interactions have not been reported in humans.

Here's the short version on pairing a grape seed extract supplement with Glasdegib (Daurismo). Your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to break Glasdegib down. Lab studies hint that concentrated grape seed extract might slow that enzyme, which could let more of the drug build up and possibly worsen side effects like nausea, muscle cramps, fatigue, taste changes, or heart rhythm changes (QT prolongation). But animal studies suggest the opposite, that it could speed the enzyme up and weaken the drug. Honestly, the science conflicts, and this has not actually been seen in people.

Eating grapes in normal food amounts is not the concern here. Concentrated supplements are. Since Glasdegib is a serious cancer medicine, please check with your oncologist or pharmacist before adding any grape supplement.

What Is Glasdegib Used For?

Brand name: Daurismo

Daurismo (glasdegib) is approved to treat newly-diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) — a fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. It is used specifically in adults who are 75 years of age or older, or in adults of any age whose other health conditions make intensive induction chemotherapy too risky.

Daurismo is not used alone. It is always given together with low-dose cytarabine, a separate chemotherapy medicine, as part of a 28-day treatment cycle.
