Hydrochlorothiazide, Labetalol falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Guarumo interacts with.

Evidence from animal research suggests that aqueous and ethanolic extracts of guarumo leaf can lower blood pressure when administered intravenously to rats. Theoretically, concomitant use of antihypertensive drugs with guarumo might enhance therapeutic effects and increase the risk of hypotension. Some antihypertensive drugs include captopril (Capoten), enalapril (Vasotec), losartan (Cozaar), valsartan (Diovan), diltiazem (Cardizem), amlodipine (Norvasc), hydrochlorothiazide (HydroDIURIL), furosemide (Lasix), and many others.

Your combo pill pairs hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) with labetalol (a beta blocker), and both work to bring your blood pressure down. Guarumo, the leaf tea used in some Latin American traditions, may also nudge blood pressure lower on its own. So the worry here is simple addition: two things pushing in the same direction could drop your pressure a little too far.

If that happens, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, tired, or faint, especially when you stand up quickly. Keep in mind this caution comes mostly from animal studies, so it's theoretical rather than proven in people. I wouldn't panic, but I would chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding guarumo, and keep an eye on your home blood pressure readings.
