Here's the gist with guarumo and hydrocodone. Hydrocodone is a strong opioid pain reliever that already slows down your brain and nervous system. That's how it eases pain, but it can also cause drowsiness, slowed breathing, dizziness, and confusion. In one animal study, a guarumo leaf extract acted like a mild sedative, causing things like muscle relaxation and trouble with coordination.

So in theory, pairing the two could add up and leave you more sedated than you'd expect. I want to be honest though: this is based only on animal research, so we don't have solid human proof. Still, since hydrocodone carries real risks on its own, please run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and watch for extra sleepiness.
