Hydrochlorothiazide, Methyldopa falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Hemp Agrimony interacts with.

Hemp agrimony contains hepatotoxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PA). Theoretically, using hemp agrimony with hepatotoxic drugs might have additive adverse effects on the liver. Some drugs that can adversely affect the liver include acetaminophen (Tylenol and others), amiodarone (Cordarone), carbamazepine (Tegretol), isoniazid (INH), methotrexate (Rheumatrex), methyldopa (Aldomet), fluconazole (Diflucan), itraconazole (Sporanox), erythromycin (Erythrocin, Ilosone, others), phenytoin (Dilantin), lovastatin (Mevacor), pravastatin (Pravachol), simvastatin (Zocor), and many others.

Here's the thing to know about hemp agrimony: this plant can contain pyrrolizidine alkaloids, natural compounds that can be hard on the liver. Your blood pressure combo includes methyldopa, which is one of the medicines already known to occasionally irritate the liver on its own. Stacking the two together could, in theory, add up to more strain on your liver.

I'll be straight with you, this concern is theoretical and based on how these things work, not on strong human studies. Still, signs like yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, unusual tiredness, or pain in the upper right belly would be worth acting on. Honestly, because of the alkaloid worry, most experts steer clear of taking hemp agrimony internally at all. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
