Mestranol, Norethindrone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Hibiscus Sabdariffa interacts with.

Theoretically, Hibiscus sabdariffa extract might reduce the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Hibiscus sabdariffa calyx extract inhibits CYP3A4. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist: your birth control pill combines mestranol (which your body converts to ethinyl estradiol) with norethindrone, and both hormones are broken down by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In a lab dish, hibiscus extract slowed that enzyme down a bit. If that happened in real life, the hormone levels could nudge slightly higher, which might mean more of the usual estrogen-type effects like nausea, breast tenderness, or spotting.

The important part: this is purely theoretical, seen only in test tubes, never reported in actual people. Hibiscus tea in normal amounts is very unlikely to cause trouble. I wouldn't expect concentrated supplements to either, but since this is your contraception, it's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor.
