Hydrochlorothiazide, Losartan Potassium falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Higenamine interacts with.

Theoretically, higenamine might increase the levels and clinical effects drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that higenamine inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes by 21%. However, this effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the honest picture with Hyzaar (the losartan plus hydrochlorothiazide combo) and higenamine. The lab-based concern is that higenamine may slightly block CYP3A4, an enzyme that helps process losartan. In theory that could let a bit more drug linger, but this was only seen in a test tube, not in real people, and the effect was small. So I wouldn't lose sleep over the enzyme angle.

My bigger worry is a different one: higenamine acts like adrenaline and can raise your heart rate and blood pressure. Hyzaar is meant to lower your blood pressure, so a stimulant like this could work against it and may cause palpitations or feeling jittery. Please run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
