Indapamide is a water pill that lowers your blood pressure by helping your body release extra salt and fluid. Here's the thing about horny goat weed: in lab and animal studies, it seemed to nudge blood pressure downward too. If both are gently pushing in the same direction, the worry is that your pressure could dip a little too low.

What that might feel like is dizziness, lightheadedness when you stand up, tiredness, or feeling faint. I want to be honest though: this hasn't actually been seen in people, so it's a theoretical concern based on weak evidence. Still, if you take indapamide and want to try this herb, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first, especially if your pressure already runs low.

What Is Indapamide Used For?

Brand names: Lozol, Lozide

Indapamide tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), either on their own or together with other blood pressure medications. Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of related complications.

Indapamide tablets are also used to treat salt and fluid retention (edema) associated with congestive heart failure. In certain cases, indapamide may also be appropriate during pregnancy when swelling is caused by a medical condition rather than normal pregnancy changes — but routine use in otherwise healthy pregnant women is not recommended.
