Hydrazine Sulfate + Amphetamine
Amphetamine brand names: Dyanavel XR, Adensys XR-ODT, Mydayis, Adzenys ER.
Hydrazine Sulfate has a moderate interaction with Amphetamine. Theoretically, concomitant use with other MAOIs might increase the effects and adverse effects associated with MAOIs.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
MONOAMINE OXIDASE INHIBITORS (MAOIs)
Why this applies to Amphetamine
Amphetamine falls under MONOAMINE OXIDASE INHIBITORS (MAOIs) — the group Hydrazine Sulfate interacts with.
Medications with hydrazine chemical moieties (e.g., phenelzine) are known to inhibit monoamine oxidase. Theoretically, hydrazine sulfate acts as an MAOI.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the concern with this pairing. Hydrazine sulfate shares a chemical structure (a hydrazine group) with older MAOI antidepressants like phenelzine, so in theory it may slow down monoamine oxidase, the enzyme that helps clear out brain chemicals like norepinephrine and dopamine. Amphetamine works by flooding your system with exactly those chemicals. So if that breakdown enzyme is blocked, the amphetamine's effects can stack up instead of being cleared.
The worry is overstimulation: a dangerous spike in blood pressure, racing or pounding heart, agitation, headache, sweating, or in severe cases serotonin-type reactions. I'll be honest, this is theoretical and based on chemical similarity, not solid human studies. Still, combining stimulants with anything MAOI-like is a classic red flag, so please run this by your doctor or pharmacist before mixing them.

About Hydrazine Sulfate
What is Hydrazine Sulfate?
- Cancer-related weight loss (cachexia)
- Cancer treatment (unproven)
- Appetite stimulation
- Improving quality of life in advanced illness
Hydrazine sulfate is a synthetic industrial chemical that was promoted as an alternative cancer treatment, but well-designed clinical trials found it does not help people with cancer live longer or feel better. It carries real risks, including serious nerve and liver toxicity, and is not approved or recommended for any medical use. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before considering it.
About Amphetamine
What Is Amphetamine Used For?
Brand names: Dyanavel XR, Adensys XR-ODT, Mydayis, Adzenys ER
Amphetamine treats Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in patients 6 years and older. Adzenys XR-ODT, Dyanavel XR, and the amphetamine extended-release orally disintegrating tablet formulations are specifically approved for ADHD in this age group.
Amphetamine Sulfate tablets and Evekeo (amphetamine sulfate tablets) are also approved for narcolepsy (a sleep disorder causing uncontrollable daytime sleepiness) and as a short-term aid in a calorie-restricted weight-loss program for exogenous obesity (weight gain from external factors like overeating) in patients who have not responded to other approaches.
