Metformin XR falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Hydrazine Sulfate interacts with.

Theoretically, taking hydrazine sulfate concomitantly with antidiabetes drugs could increase the risk for hypoglycemia.
Animal research shows that hydrazine sulfate lowers blood glucose. Hypoglycemia has also been reported in some patients taking hydrazine sulfate during clinical studies. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.

Here's the gist: hydrazine sulfate appears to lower blood sugar on its own. We've seen this in animal studies and in some people during cancer trials. So if you pair it with Metformin XR, which is already working to bring your glucose down, the two effects could stack up and push your blood sugar too low.

If that happens, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, weak, confused, or unusually hungry. To be clear, this is a theoretical concern, and metformin by itself rarely causes lows. But hydrazine sulfate isn't a proven or recommended treatment, and it carries real nerve and liver risks of its own. Please don't start it or change your metformin without talking to your doctor or pharmacist first.
