Pramlintide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Hydrazine Sulfate interacts with.

Theoretically, taking hydrazine sulfate concomitantly with antidiabetes drugs could increase the risk for hypoglycemia.
Animal research shows that hydrazine sulfate lowers blood glucose. Hypoglycemia has also been reported in some patients taking hydrazine sulfate during clinical studies. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.

Here's the concern with putting these two together. Pramlintide (Symlin) already lowers blood sugar, and you always take it alongside your mealtime insulin, so low blood sugar is one of its main risks to begin with. Hydrazine sulfate appears to push blood sugar down too. In animal studies and in some people during clinical trials, it lowered glucose on its own. Stack that on top of pramlintide and insulin, and you may have a higher chance of dipping too low.

That means watching for shakiness, sweating, confusion, a fast heartbeat, or feeling faint. To be honest, hydrazine sulfate isn't proven to help with anything and carries real nerve and liver risks, so please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using it at all.

What Is Pramlintide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Symlin

SymlinPen (pramlintide) is used as an add-on treatment for adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who already use mealtime insulin but still haven't reached their target blood sugar levels — even with optimal insulin therapy.

It is not a replacement for insulin. It works alongside insulin, given right before major meals, to reduce the spike in blood sugar that happens after eating.
