ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Sitagliptin, Metformin
Sitagliptin, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Hydrazine Sulfate interacts with.
Animal research shows that hydrazine sulfate lowers blood glucose. Hypoglycemia has also been reported in some patients taking hydrazine sulfate during clinical studies. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the concern with combining hydrazine sulfate and your Zituvimet (sitagliptin plus metformin). This medication already works to lower your blood sugar, and hydrazine sulfate appears to push blood sugar down too. Animal studies and a few reports from clinical trials suggest people taking hydrazine sulfate can end up with low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Stack that effect on top of your diabetes medicine and the two could add up.
Watch for the classic low-sugar signs: shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling suddenly weak. Keep in mind hydrazine sulfate isn't proven to help with anything and carries real nerve and liver risks, so please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using it. Don't change your diabetes medicine on your own.
