Here's the thing to keep in mind: your Xelstrym patch delivers dextroamphetamine, which is already a strong stimulant. Guayusa isn't changing how your body breaks the medicine down. Instead, you've simply got two stimulants working at the same time, since guayusa is basically a caffeine-rich tea. Stacking caffeine on top of your patch can pile on the stimulant side effects.

What that might feel like is a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, anxiety, trouble sleeping, or a bump in blood pressure. This is mostly expert-opinion caution rather than hard proof, so an occasional cup is different from heavy daily use. If you notice your heart racing or you can't wind down at night, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before making any changes.
