Here's the simple version: guayusa is basically a caffeine source, much like strong tea or yerba mate. Mephentermine is itself a stimulant that raises blood pressure and acts on your sympathetic (fight-or-flight) system. Stacking one stimulant on top of another can add up.

When you combine them, you may notice more of the jittery, stimulant-type effects: a faster or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, anxiety, restlessness, or trouble sleeping. To be clear, this is a theoretical caution based on expert opinion, not strong studies, so it isn't a reason to panic. A cup or two of guayusa tea is gentler than concentrated caffeine pills. Still, if you take mephentermine, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding regular guayusa.
