Bromfenac Sodium falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Ip-6 interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of IP-6 with drugs that affect platelet aggregation may increase the risk of bleeding. In vitro IP-6 can inhibit platelet aggregation. This effect has not been demonstrated in humans.

Here's the short version: this concern is mostly theoretical. In lab dishes, IP-6 has slowed down platelets (the cells that help your blood clot). NSAIDs can also nudge platelets in that same direction, so on paper, combining the two could raise bleeding risk a little. But this platelet effect has never actually been shown in real people taking IP-6.

The good news with Bromfenac (Prolensa, Bromsite) is that it's an eye drop used after cataract surgery. Very little gets into your bloodstream, so any whole-body bleeding worry is even smaller. You might notice mild eye stinging or redness, but that's local. Still, if you're on blood thinners or had surgery, it's worth a quick word with your pharmacist or eye doctor.
