Here's the thing to keep in mind with this pairing. Ketoprofen is an NSAID, and like other drugs in its family it already nudges up your bleeding risk by making platelets a little less sticky. Jiaogulan may do something similar. Lab studies (in test tubes, not people) hint that its plant compounds can also slow platelets down. Stack the two together and, in theory, the blood-thinning effect could add up.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is theoretical and comes only from laboratory research, so it's far from proven. Still, watch for signs like easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or stomach upset, since ketoprofen can irritate the gut too. Before combining them, please check with your pharmacist or doctor.

What Is Ketoprofen Used For?

Brand names: Orudis, Oruvail Gel, Powergel, Oruvail Injection

Ketoprofen capsules (including the brand Orudis) are used to manage the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, to treat pain, and to treat primary dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual periods).

Ketoprofen extended-release capsules are approved for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis only. Because of the way they slowly release the drug, ketoprofen extended-release capsules are not recommended for treating acute (sudden) pain.
