Here's the gist: diclofenac is an NSAID, and like other pain relievers in its family, it can make your blood a little slower to clot and can irritate the stomach lining. Jiaogulan may add to that bleeding risk. Lab studies (done in test tubes, not people) suggest jiaogulan can slow down platelets, the cells that help form clots. Stack that on top of diclofenac and the concern is more easy bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach bleeding.

Keep this in perspective. This is a theoretical concern based only on early lab research, so it's a caution, not a red alert. Still, if you take diclofenac regularly and want to try jiaogulan, run it past your pharmacist or doctor first, and watch for unusual bruising, dark stools, or bleeding that won't stop.
