Here's the thing to keep in mind with Iloprost (Ventavis): besides relaxing the blood vessels in your lungs, it also has a mild effect on platelets, the tiny cells that help your blood clot. Jiaogulan may do something similar. In lab studies, the plant compounds in jiaogulan appear to make platelets a little less sticky, so pairing the two could, in theory, nudge up your risk of bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding that's slower to stop.

I want to be honest that this is theoretical, based only on test-tube and animal research, not real cases in people. So it's a caution, not an alarm. Still, since both can affect platelets, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding jiaogulan rather than starting it on your own.
