Lemborexant falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Neem interacts with.

Theoretically, neem leaf extract might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that neem leaf methanol extract inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes. So far, this reaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the simple version: your sleep medicine Dayvigo (lemborexant) is cleared from your body by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In lab tests, neem leaf extract appears to slow that same enzyme down. If that were to happen in real life, your body would break down the lemborexant more slowly, so more of it could build up in your system.

What might that feel like? Possibly stronger next-morning grogginess, lingering drowsiness, dizziness, or trouble feeling fully alert. The important thing to know is that this is only seen in test-tube studies so far, never reported in actual people, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Still, since both touch the sleep system, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
