Theoretically, taking Panax notoginseng concomitantly with aspirin may increase the risk of adverse effects from both products.
Animal research shows that taking Panax notoginseng extract with aspirin increases blood levels of salicylic acid by approximately 50% and blood levels of Panax notoginseng by 75% to 196%. This effect may be due to increased absorption of both products.

Percodan combines aspirin with oxycodone, and here the part that matters most is the aspirin. Panax notoginseng is itself an herb people use to affect bleeding and clotting, so pairing it with aspirin stacks two things that can thin the blood. On top of that, animal studies hint that the herb may bump up aspirin blood levels by roughly 50 percent (and the herb's own levels too), likely by helping both absorb better.

What that could look like in real life: easier bruising, nosebleeds, stomach irritation, or bleeding that's slower to stop. Keep in mind this is theoretical, based mostly on lab and animal work, so it's a caution rather than a sure thing. Before combining them, please check with your pharmacist or doctor.
