Drospirenone, Ethinyl Estradiol falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Panax Notoginseng interacts with.

Theoretically, taking Panax notoginseng might reduce the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
Animal research shows that administering Panax notoginseng intravenously for 7 days before intraperitoneal injection of caffeine can decrease maximal blood levels of caffeine by 37%. This interaction was attributed to the ability of Panax notoginseng to increase the activity of CYP1A2.

Here's the gist with your birth control pill (Yasmin and similar brands). Lab and animal research hints that Panax notoginseng may speed up an enzyme called CYP1A2, which is one route your body uses to process the estrogen part of your pill. If that enzyme works faster, your hormone levels could dip a little lower, and in theory that might weaken how reliably the pill prevents pregnancy or could cause spotting.

I want to be honest, though: this is very early evidence, based on a caffeine study in animals, not people taking birth control. We just don't know if it matters in real life. Because an unplanned pregnancy is a big deal, I'd still mention this herb to your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and don't stop your pill on your own.
