Uniretic combines two blood pressure lowering medicines: hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) and moexipril (an ACE inhibitor). Here's the thing about pomegranate: studies suggest it can modestly nudge your blood pressure down on its own. So when you add it on top of a medicine that's already lowering your pressure, the two can stack up.

What might you notice? Things like feeling dizzy or lightheaded, especially when standing up quickly, tiredness, or feeling a bit faint. The evidence here is limited and the effect is usually mild, and an occasional glass of juice or eating the fruit is unlikely to cause trouble for most people. Concentrated extracts are more of a question mark. If you run low or notice these symptoms, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

Here's the simple version: your Uniretic combines moexipril, an ACE inhibitor that relaxes blood vessels, with hydrochlorothiazide, a water pill. Pomegranate seems to have a mild ACE inhibitor-like action of its own, so in theory it could nudge your blood pressure down a little further when added on top of these medicines. The concern is doubling up on the same kind of effect, which might leave you feeling lightheaded, dizzy, or tired, especially when you stand up quickly.

Honestly, this is mostly a theoretical worry based on limited research, and enjoying pomegranate as a fruit or an occasional glass of juice is usually no big deal. Concentrated extracts are where I'd be more cautious. If you notice dizziness or you're starting a daily supplement, check in with your pharmacist or doctor first.
