Fludrocortisone falls under P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES — the group Rabdosia Rubescens interacts with.

Rabdosia rubescens might increase levels of p-glycoprotein substrates. In vitro research shows that Rabdosia rubescens extract inhibits p-glycoprotein levels and activity. Drugs that might be affected include some chemotherapeutic agents (doxorubicin, etoposide, paclitaxel, vinblastine, vincristine, vindesine), antifungals (ketoconazole, itraconazole), protease inhibitors (amprenavir, indinavir, nelfinavir, saquinavir), H2 antagonists (cimetidine, ranitidine), some calcium channel blockers (diltiazem, verapamil), digoxin, corticosteroids, erythromycin, cisapride (Propulsid), fexofenadine (Allegra), cyclosporine, loperamide (Imodium), quinidine, and others.

Here's the gist for Florinef (fludrocortisone). Your body uses a tiny pump called p-glycoprotein to help move certain drugs out of cells and back out of you. In test-tube studies, Rabdosia rubescens seems to slow that pump down. Since fludrocortisone is one of the drugs that pump handles, blocking it could let a bit more of the medicine stick around than usual.

Fludrocortisone helps you hold onto salt and keep your blood pressure up, so higher levels could mean extra fluid, swelling in the ankles, higher blood pressure, or a low potassium reading. That said, this is only lab research, not proven in people, so I wouldn't panic. Just loop in your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
