Here's the gist with Dexedrine and rauwolscine. Part of how your body clears dextroamphetamine runs through a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. Rauwolscine is a cousin of yohimbine, and in lab (test tube) studies, yohimbine slows that enzyme down. If the same holds true in people, your dextroamphetamine could clear a bit slower and build up slightly, nudging its effects upward.

On top of that, both are stimulants, so stacking them could add up to a faster heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitters, trouble sleeping, or anxiety. Keep in mind this interaction is theoretical, based on lab data, not on real patient cases. Still, since both rev up the body, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Here's the simple version: both of these are stimulants, just by different routes. Dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) ramps up norepinephrine and dopamine to help with focus, while rauwolscine blocks the brakes (alpha-2 receptors) that normally keep that same norepinephrine in check. Stack them together and you may be piling stimulation on top of stimulation.

In real life that could mean a faster heart rate, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or feeling anxious or wired. I'll be straight with you: this concern is theoretical and comes mostly from animal studies, so we don't have strong human data. Still, since rauwolscine shows up in pre-workout and fat-burner products, it's worth flagging to your doctor or pharmacist before combining the two, especially if you have any heart concerns.
