Theoretically, taking rauwolscine with seizure threshold lowering drugs might increase the risk of adverse convulsant effects.
In animal research, intraperitoneal rauwolscine lowered the seizure threshold level of the drug metrazol.

Here's the gist: both rauwolscine and oxycodone can, in their own ways, make the brain a little more prone to seizures. Opioids like oxycodone are known to lower the seizure threshold, especially at higher doses or in people already at risk. Rauwolscine, a strong stimulant alkaloid, may do something similar by ramping up norepinephrine. Put together, the worry is that the two could nudge that risk a bit higher.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. The concern comes from animal research using a different drug, so it's largely theoretical for oxycodone in people. Still, mixing a stimulant with an opioid is hard on the heart and nervous system. Please run this combination past your pharmacist or doctor before using them together.

Theoretically, rauwolscine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
Rauwolscine is structurally related to yohimbine. In vitro research shows that yohimbine inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme activity.

Here's the gist with these two together. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to turn part of your oxycodone into a stronger painkiller called oxymorphone. Rauwolscine is a cousin of yohimbine, and lab studies hint that yohimbine can slow down that same enzyme. So in theory, rauwolscine might reduce how much of that more potent piece gets made.

Honestly, this is based on test-tube data only, not real patients, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Oxycodone still works on its own without that conversion. The bigger concern in my mind is mixing a heart-revving stimulant with an opioid, since rauwolscine can spike your blood pressure, heart rate, and anxiety. Please run this combo by your pharmacist or doctor before using both.

Rauwolscine (alpha-yohimbine) is a stimulant alkaloid closely related to yohimbine that is marketed mainly in fat-burning and pre-workout supplements.
