Here's the gist for combining a rauwolscine supplement with prochlorperazine (Compazine). Prochlorperazine is one of those medicines that can, on its own, slightly lower your seizure threshold, meaning it can make the brain a touch more prone to a seizure. Rauwolscine is a stimulant that, in animal studies, also nudged the seizure threshold down. Put the two together and, in theory, that risk could add up a little.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. It comes from lab and animal research, not real-world human reports, so for most people it stays theoretical. Still, if you have a history of seizures, are on other stimulants, or take medicines that lower the threshold, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing these.

Rauwolscine (alpha-yohimbine) is a stimulant alkaloid closely related to yohimbine that is marketed mainly in fat-burning and pre-workout supplements. Human evidence for its benefits is very limited, and it can raise heart rate and blood pressure and cause anxiety, so it should be used with caution and is not recommended for people with heart conditions, anxiety, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

What Is Prochlorperazine Used For?

Brand names: Prochlor, Compazine

Prochlorperazine is used across several forms and products to control severe nausea and vomiting in adults. It is also used to treat schizophrenia. Prochlorperazine tablets (Prochlorperazine, Prochlorperazine Maleate) are additionally approved for the short-term treatment of generalized non-psychotic anxiety — though they are not the first-choice treatment for anxiety, given their risk profile.

Compro rectal suppositories and Prochlorperazine rectal suppositories are specifically indicated for controlling severe nausea and vomiting in adults. Prochlorperazine Edisylate injection is approved for severe nausea and vomiting and for schizophrenia, but it is not approved for dementia-related psychosis.
