Here's the gist with Azstarys (serdexmethylphenidate and dexmethylphenidate) and rauwolscine. Both are stimulants. Azstarys is a CNS stimulant that ramps up brain activity, and rauwolscine adds its own stimulant punch by boosting norepinephrine. One concern is seizures. In animal lab studies, rauwolscine made it easier to trigger a seizure. Stimulants like Azstarys can also nudge the seizure threshold a bit lower, so stacking the two together could, in theory, raise that risk slightly.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is based on animal research, not human studies, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Still, both can raise heart rate, blood pressure, jitteriness, and anxiety. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.

Here's the simple version: Azstarys (serdexmethylphenidate and dexmethylphenidate) is already a stimulant that ramps up activity in your brain and body. Rauwolscine is also a stimulant, working through a different pathway by boosting your natural "go" signals. Stacking two stimulants doesn't cancel them out, it tends to pile the effects on top of each other.

So the real concern is more of the same: a faster heart rate, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, and feeling anxious or on edge. I'll be honest, this warning comes mostly from animal research, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Still, since both push in the same direction, I'd run it by your doctor or pharmacist before combining them, especially if you have any heart or anxiety concerns.

Azstarys (serdexmethylphenidate/dexmethylphenidate) is approved to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in patients 6 years of age and older. It is not recommended for children younger than 6 because they experience higher drug levels in the blood and more side effects at the same doses used in older patients.
