Darunavir, Ritonavir falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Schizonepeta interacts with.

Animal research suggests that schizonepetin, a monoterpene constituent of schizonepeta, induces cytochrome P450 (CYP) 3A4. Theoretically, schizonepeta might decrease the effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
Some substrates of CYP3A4 include lovastatin (Mevacor), ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), fexofenadine (Allegra), triazolam (Halcion), and numerous others.

Here's the concern with pairing Schizonepeta and your darunavir/ritonavir combo. Both of these HIV medicines rely heavily on the liver enzyme CYP3A4. Ritonavir actually works partly by blocking that enzyme so darunavir stays at helpful levels in your blood. Animal studies hint that a compound in Schizonepeta may speed up CYP3A4 instead. In theory, that could push these drugs out of your system faster and lower their levels, which risks weaker control of HIV and, over time, possible drug resistance.

I want to be honest: this is only lab and animal evidence, not proven in people, so we can't say how much it truly matters. Still, keeping HIV therapy steady is too important to gamble on. Please check with your pharmacist or HIV doctor before adding Schizonepeta.
