Flibanserin falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Schizonepeta interacts with.

Animal research suggests that schizonepetin, a monoterpene constituent of schizonepeta, induces cytochrome P450 (CYP) 3A4. Theoretically, schizonepeta might decrease the effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
Some substrates of CYP3A4 include lovastatin (Mevacor), ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), fexofenadine (Allegra), triazolam (Halcion), and numerous others.

Here's the gist for Addyi (flibanserin): your body clears it mostly through a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Animal studies hint that a compound in Schizonepeta may speed that enzyme up. If that holds true in people, your system could break flibanserin down a little faster, which might leave less of it working and make it a bit less effective for treating low sexual desire.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. It comes only from lab and animal research, not from human studies, so it's mostly theoretical. Flibanserin is finicky enough on its own (no alcohol, careful timing), so I'd run any Schizonepeta product past your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two.

What Is Flibanserin Used For?

Brand name: Addyi

Addyi is approved to treat acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) — a condition where low sexual desire causes significant distress or relationship difficulty — in women under 65. "Acquired" means the low desire developed after a period of normal desire; "generalized" means it happens regardless of the situation or partner.

Addyi is not intended for use in men, and it is not a sexual performance enhancer. It is also not meant for HSDD that is caused by a medical condition, a psychiatric condition, relationship problems, or another medication.
