Capmatinib Hydrochloride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Sulforaphane interacts with.

Theoretically, sulforaphane might increase the levels and effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
Animal and in vitro research shows that sulforaphane inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme activity and downregulates its expression. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for Tabrecta (capmatinib): your body relies on an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear this cancer drug. In lab dishes and animal studies, sulforaphane has been seen to slow that enzyme down. If that were to happen in people, capmatinib could build up to higher levels than intended, which might mean more of its usual side effects, things like nausea, vomiting, swelling, tiredness, or changes in your liver tests.

The honest part: this is theoretical only and hasn't been reported in real patients. Eating broccoli at meals is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated sulforaphane capsules are a different story. Since capmatinib is a serious cancer medicine, please run any supplement past your oncology team or pharmacist first.

Tabrecta (capmatinib) is used to treat adults with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) — lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. It is only for patients whose tumors have a specific genetic change called a MET exon 14 skipping mutation, which must be confirmed by an FDA-approved test before starting treatment.
