Dextromethorphan, Methscopolamine, Phenylephrine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Sulforaphane interacts with.

Theoretically, sulforaphane might increase the levels and effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
Animal and in vitro research shows that sulforaphane inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme activity and downregulates its expression. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

This combination cough and cold product (DA Chewable) contains dextromethorphan for cough, methscopolamine to dry secretions, and phenylephrine as a decongestant. The piece that matters here is the dextromethorphan, which the body partly clears through the CYP3A4 enzyme. In lab and animal studies, sulforaphane appears to slow that enzyme down, which could in theory let dextromethorphan build up a bit and make effects like drowsiness, dizziness, or stomach upset more noticeable.

The important part: this has only been seen in test tubes and animals, never in people, so it stays theoretical. Broccoli and other veggies at meal-sized amounts are very unlikely to cause trouble. If you take a concentrated sulforaphane supplement, just check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining.
