Eravacycline falls under TETRACYCLINE ANTIBIOTICS — the group Swamp Milkweed interacts with.

Theoretically, tetracycline antibiotics might increase the risk of toxicity from cardioactive steroids in swamp milkweed.
Swamp milkweed contains cardioactive steroids known as cardenolides that may have digitalis-like activity. Tetracycline antibiotics appear to increase the gastrointestinal absorption of oral digoxin. Theoretically, concomitant use of tetracycline antibiotics might increase the absorption of the cardenolides found in swamp milkweed and increase the risk of adverse effects.

Here's the short version: Swamp Milkweed contains heart-active compounds (cardenolides) that act a little like the old heart drug digoxin. Antibiotics in the tetracycline family, which includes eravacycline (Xerava), can change the gut bacteria that normally break down these digitalis-like substances. In theory, that lets more of the milkweed compounds get absorbed, which could nudge their effect on the heart higher and raise the risk of problems like an irregular or slow heartbeat, nausea, or feeling lightheaded.

Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern based on how these things work, not something proven in people. Eravacycline is given as an IV in the hospital, so this combo would be unusual. Still, Swamp Milkweed isn't a safe supplement to take on your own. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing the two.

What Is Eravacycline Injection Used For?

Brand name: Xerava

Xerava (eravacycline) is approved to treat complicated intra-abdominal infections (serious infections inside the belly — such as those involving the intestines, appendix, or other abdominal organs) in adults 18 and older. It works against a specific range of bacteria that commonly cause these infections.

Xerava is not approved to treat complicated urinary tract infections (cUTI). To help prevent antibiotic resistance, it should only be used when there is a proven or strongly suspected bacterial infection that it can fight.
