Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the concern with mixing Testolone (RAD-140) and Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim): both can be hard on your liver. Testolone has been tied to liver injury in case reports and raised liver enzymes in early studies. Bactrim, on its own, can occasionally cause liver irritation too. Put them together and the worry is that the strain on your liver could add up.

This is mostly a theoretical concern based on case reports and lab data, not strong proof, so I don't want to alarm you. Still, watch for warning signs like yellowing of your skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain on the right side, nausea, or unusual tiredness. On top of that, Testolone isn't an approved or safe-to-use product, so I'd really encourage you to talk this over with your doctor or pharmacist before combining anything with your antibiotic.

About Testolone

What is Testolone?

  • Muscle building
  • Athletic performance and bodybuilding
  • Strength gains
  • Body recomposition (fat loss with muscle gain)

Testolone (RAD-140) is a synthetic experimental drug called a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM), not a dietary supplement or herb, and it is not approved or proven safe for human use. It is illegally sold for muscle building, has been linked to serious harms including liver injury, and is banned in sports — it should not be taken outside of supervised clinical research.
