Aspirin, Caffeine, Dihydrocodeine Bitartrate falls under SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS — the group Thuja interacts with.

Thuja products can contains significant amounts of thujone, a neurotoxin. Theoretically, patients taking drugs that lower the seizure threshold might be at greater risk of seizure if they also take thuja. Advise patients taking these drugs to avoid thuja products. Some drugs that lower the seizure threshold include anesthetics (propofol, others), antiarrhythmics (mexiletine), antibiotics (amphotericin, penicillin, cephalosporins, imipenem), antidepressants (bupropion, others), antihistamines (cyproheptadine, others), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), narcotics (fentanyl, others), stimulants (methylphenidate), theophylline, and others.

Here's the concern with combining Thuja and Synalgos DC (a mix of aspirin, caffeine, and the opioid dihydrocodeine). Concentrated Thuja products can contain thujone, a compound that, in higher amounts, may make the brain more prone to seizures. Two pieces of your pain medicine, the caffeine and the dihydrocodeine, can also nudge the seizure threshold lower, especially at higher doses. Stacking these together could, in theory, add up.

I want to be straight with you: this is based on anecdotal, theoretical evidence, not strong studies, so it's not a sure thing. Still, since the undiluted oil can be genuinely toxic, the safest move is to avoid Thuja supplements while on this medication. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
