Naltrexone Hydrochloride, Oxycodone Hydrochloride falls under SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS — the group Thuja interacts with.

Thuja products can contains significant amounts of thujone, a neurotoxin. Theoretically, patients taking drugs that lower the seizure threshold might be at greater risk of seizure if they also take thuja. Advise patients taking these drugs to avoid thuja products. Some drugs that lower the seizure threshold include anesthetics (propofol, others), antiarrhythmics (mexiletine), antibiotics (amphotericin, penicillin, cephalosporins, imipenem), antidepressants (bupropion, others), antihistamines (cyproheptadine, others), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), narcotics (fentanyl, others), stimulants (methylphenidate), theophylline, and others.

Here's the concern with Troxyca ER, which combines oxycodone (a strong opioid painkiller) with naltrexone. The issue isn't about how your body breaks down the medicine. Instead, it's about the thujone in thuja, which is a natural nerve toxin. In high amounts, thujone can make the brain more prone to seizures. Opioids like oxycodone can already nudge the seizure threshold lower, especially at higher doses, so stacking thuja on top could, in theory, add to that risk.

To be fair, this is based on weak, anecdotal evidence, not solid studies, so it's more of a caution than a sure thing. Still, since concentrated thuja oil and supplements can carry real amounts of thujone, the simplest safe move is to avoid thuja products while on Troxyca. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
