Aspirin, Hydrocodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Thunder God Vine interacts with.

Theoretically, thunder god vine might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that triptolide, a constituent of thunder god vine, inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes in human microsomes. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for your Lortab ASA (a combo of hydrocodone and aspirin). The hydrocodone half is handled in part by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In test tube studies, a compound in Thunder God Vine called triptolide appears to slow that same enzyme down. In theory, if the enzyme works slower, hydrocodone could hang around longer and feel stronger.

If that happened, you might notice more of hydrocodone's usual effects, like extra drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or slowed breathing. I want to be honest though: this is only a lab-based, theoretical concern and has not actually been reported in people. Still, since both the herb and this medicine carry real risks on their own, please run this combination by your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.
