Galantamine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Thunder God Vine interacts with.

Theoretically, thunder god vine might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that triptolide, a constituent of thunder god vine, inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes in human microsomes. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for galantamine (Razadyne). Your body partly relies on an enzyme called CYP3A4 to break this medicine down. Thunder God Vine contains a compound (triptolide) that, in lab dish studies, seems to slow that same enzyme. If it does the same thing in people, galantamine could clear more slowly and build up a bit, which may make its effects and side effects stronger.

With galantamine, that could mean more nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, a slow heartbeat, or muscle cramps. I want to be honest though: this is only a theoretical concern based on test-tube work, and it hasn't actually been reported in real patients. Still, since Thunder God Vine carries its own toxicity risks, please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before combining the two.
