Here's the thing to keep in mind with this pairing. Guselkumab (Tremfya) is an injected antibody that quiets part of your immune system to clear psoriasis and ease psoriatic arthritis. Thunder God Vine has its own immune-calming compounds, especially in larger, concentrated doses. So the concern is that stacking the two could push your immune system down a bit too far, leaving you more open to infections like colds, sinus issues, or other bugs that linger longer than usual.

I'll be honest, this is a theoretical worry based on how each one works, not something proven in studies together. Still, both calm the immune system, so it's worth a real conversation. Please don't start or stop anything on your own. Check with your doctor or pharmacist first, especially since Thunder God Vine itself can be toxic if dosed wrong.

What Is Guselkumab Injection Used For?

Brand name: Tremfya

Tremfya (guselkumab) injection is approved to treat adults and children 6 years of age and older who weigh at least 40 kg (about 88 lbs) with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis or active psoriatic arthritis. It is also approved for adults with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease.

For plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, Tremfya is an option when systemic therapy or phototherapy is appropriate. For ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, Tremfya is approved for adult patients only — it has not been established as safe and effective for children with those conditions.
