Hydrocodone Bitartrate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Thunder God Vine interacts with.

Theoretically, thunder god vine might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that triptolide, a constituent of thunder god vine, inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes in human microsomes. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist with these two together. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear hydrocodone out of your system. Lab studies suggest one of the active compounds in thunder god vine (triptolide) can slow that same enzyme down. If that happens, hydrocodone could linger longer and build up, which may turn up its effects and its side effects, things like extra drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, and in a worst case, slowed or shallow breathing.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. So far this is only seen in test tube research, not in real people, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Since hydrocodone is a strong opioid where small changes matter, please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.
