Here's the thing with Satralizumab (Enspryng): it already works by quieting down part of your immune system to treat NMOSD. Thunder God Vine seems to do something similar, since compounds like triptolide and celastrol can also dial back immune activity. Stack the two together and, in theory, you could end up with more immune suppression than intended.

Why does that matter? A more suppressed immune system can mean a harder time fighting off infections, which is the main concern with Satralizumab anyway. I'll be honest though, this is a theoretical concern based on how each one works, not something proven in studies, and larger herb doses are the bigger worry. Since Thunder God Vine can be toxic if dosed wrong, please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.

  • Satralizumab-mwge injection is used to treat neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD; an autoimmune disorder of the nervous system that affects eye nerves and the spinal cord) in certain adults. Satralizumab-mwge is in a class of medications called interleukin-6 (IL-6) receptor inhibitors. It works by blocking the activity of the part of the immune system that may damage certain areas of the nervous system in people with NMOSD.
