Vandetanib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Thunder God Vine interacts with.

Theoretically, thunder god vine might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that triptolide, a constituent of thunder god vine, inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes in human microsomes. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for you. Vandetanib is cleared from your body partly by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Lab studies suggest that triptolide, one of the active compounds in Thunder God Vine, can slow that enzyme down. If that happened in real life, your body might clear vandetanib more slowly, letting it build up and raising the odds of its known side effects, things like diarrhea, high blood pressure, skin rash, and especially changes to your heart rhythm (a longer QT interval), which can be serious.

I want to be honest about the evidence though: this is only a theory from test-tube work, and it hasn't been reported in actual patients. Still, since vandetanib is a powerful cancer drug, please don't combine these without first checking with your oncologist or pharmacist.
