Oral Drugs
Why this applies to Methyltestosterone Buccal
Methyltestosterone Buccal falls under Oral Drugs — the group Thyroid Extract interacts with.
Well-controlled human studies have demonstrated the likely existence of this interaction.
Here the concern runs the other way around: it is your thyroid extract that can be affected, not the methyltestosterone itself. Anything taken at the same time as a thyroid product can get in the way of how well the thyroid hormone is absorbed, which is why thyroid medicine is usually taken on an empty stomach and spaced away from other pills.
Methyltestosterone is a hormone you let dissolve against your cheek or gum (buccal), so it is not really competing in your stomach the way calcium or iron would. Still, to keep your thyroid dose working steadily, it is smart to separate the two. This is a minor issue, but timing matters. Check with your pharmacist on the best spacing so your thyroid levels stay even.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Methyltestosterone Buccal page
“Methyltestosterone buccal (Oreton Buccal, Android 5) is an androgen that can strain the liver on its own, and 38 of the 73 supplements on this list can add to that liver stress, so real care is warranted. Two of the four major entries are alcohol itself, beer and wine, since drinking on top of a liver-taxing drug raises the risk of dam…”

About Thyroid Extract
What is Thyroid Extract?
- Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid)
- Fatigue and low energy
- Weight management
- Sluggish metabolism
- General thyroid support
Thyroid extract supplements are made from dried animal thyroid gland and may contain real thyroid hormones (T3 and T4), but the amounts in over-the-counter products are not standardized and can be unpredictable. Self-treating a thyroid problem with these supplements can be risky, so always work with a doctor or pharmacist and use prescription thyroid medicine when treatment is needed.
