Theoretically, tragacanth might alter absorption of oral drugs.
Tragacanth contains hydrocolloidal fiber which can decrease, increase, or not affect oral drug absorption. To avoid changes in absorption, take tragacanth 30-60 minutes after oral medications.

Here's the simple version: tragacanth is a gel-forming fiber, and when you swallow it with a pill like oxazepam (Serax), that slippery gel can grab onto the medicine in your stomach and gut. In theory, that could change how much oxazepam your body actually soaks up. It might lower the amount absorbed (so your anxiety relief feels weaker), or in some cases bump it up a bit (which could leave you more drowsy, dizzy, or foggy than usual).

This is a theoretical concern based on how fiber behaves, not something proven in studies with oxazepam. The easy fix is timing: take your oxazepam first, then wait 30 to 60 minutes before the tragacanth. If you have questions, your pharmacist or doctor can help you sort it out.
