Amobarbital (Amytal) is a barbiturate, a strong sedative that calms the brain and nervous system. The concern here is simple addition: tree turmeric's main ingredient, berberine, has shown calming effects in animal studies, so pairing it with an already powerful sedative could pile drowsiness on top of drowsiness.

If that happens, you might feel extra sleepy, foggy, dizzy, or slow to react, and in larger amounts barbiturates can slow breathing. I want to be honest, though: this is a theoretical worry based only on lab and animal research, not solid human studies. It's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially since barbiturates are potent. Don't stop or change either one on your own.
