Here's the situation with NexoBrid (anacaulase-bcdb). This isn't a pill you swallow. It's an enzyme gel made from pineapple that's applied directly to severe burn wounds to gently dissolve away dead tissue. Because it works right on the wound and can disturb the area, there's already some concern about local bleeding or oozing at the treated site.

Tree turmeric (berberine) may, in lab and animal studies only, make platelets a little slower to clump together. The worry is a theoretical additive effect that could nudge up bleeding risk where the gel is used. This is weak, early evidence, not proven in people, so try not to panic. Still, since burns are serious, please let your burn team or pharmacist know about any berberine supplement before treatment.
