Dexfenfluramine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Tree Turmeric interacts with.

Theoretically, tree turmeric might increase the levels and clinical effects of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
In vitro research and preliminary clinical evidence suggest that berberine, a constituent of tree turmeric, can inhibit CYP2D6.

Here's the gist: your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP2D6 to break down dexfenfluramine. The berberine in tree turmeric appears to slow that enzyme down. When the cleanup crew works slower, the drug can build up a bit more than expected, which may nudge up its effects and side effects, things like nausea, dry mouth, jitteriness, dizziness, or a faster heartbeat.

I'll be honest with you: this is mostly based on lab work and early human data, so it's more of a theoretical concern than a proven problem. Dexfenfluramine itself was actually pulled from the market years ago over heart and lung safety worries, so if you're somehow taking it, please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before adding any berberine supplement.
