Liraglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Tronadora interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of tronadora and antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Clinical research suggests that a combination of tronadora and Guazuma ulmifolia reduce levels of fasting glucose in patients with type 2 diabetes, including those already taking antidiabetes agents. The effect of tronadora alone is unknown. Animal research is conflicting.

Here's the simple version: both Tronadora and your liraglutide (Victoza) work to bring blood sugar down. Use them together and those effects can stack, which may push your sugar lower than you want. This isn't about liraglutide being broken down differently. It's just two blood-sugar-lowering agents pulling in the same direction.

Watch for shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, dizziness, or confusion, the usual signs of low blood sugar. Honestly though, the evidence here is thin. Most of the human research used Tronadora combined with another herb, and its effect on its own isn't well known. A cup of folk tea is different from a concentrated supplement dose. Before adding Tronadora, please check with your pharmacist or doctor and keep an eye on your glucose readings.

Tronadora (Tecoma stans) is a flowering shrub used in Mexican and Latin American folk medicine, most often as a tea for diabetes and digestive complaints. Human evidence is very limited, so it should not replace proven treatments. Because it may affect blood sugar and its safety is not well studied, talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it—and avoid it during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

About Liraglutide Injection

What Is Liraglutide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Victoza

Saxenda is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for chronic weight management. It is approved for adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or a BMI of 27 or higher if they also have at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or dyslipidemia (abnormal cholesterol or fat levels). It is also approved for adolescents aged 12 and older who weigh more than 60 kg and meet certain BMI thresholds for obesity.

Saxenda should not be used together with other liraglutide-containing products or any other GLP-1 receptor agonist. Its safety and effectiveness in combination with other prescription or over-the-counter weight-loss products have not been established.
