Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Insulin Lispro
Insulin Lispro falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Tronadora interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: Tronadora (Tecoma stans) is a folk-medicine tea that may nudge your blood sugar downward on its own. Insulin Lispro already does a powerful job of lowering blood sugar fast after meals. Stack the two together and you could get too much of a good thing, meaning your sugar may drop lower than expected. That could leave you feeling shaky, sweaty, dizzy, confused, or with a pounding heart, and a severe drop can be dangerous.
Keep in mind the evidence here is thin. The studies tested tronadora mixed with another plant, not by itself, so its solo effect is really unknown. I wouldn't panic, but I also wouldn't add it without a plan. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and keep monitoring your sugars closely if you do.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Insulin Lispro page
“Blood sugar is the entire subject of this list. Insulin lispro (Admelog) is a rapid mealtime insulin dosed to bring glucose down after eating, and the supplements below can shove that same number around, most of them downward, which risks a genuine low.”

About Tronadora
What is Tronadora?
- Blood sugar control / diabetes
- Digestive complaints
- Mild fever
- Yeast or fungal concerns
- Traditional 'tonic' use
Tronadora (Tecoma stans) is a flowering shrub used in Mexican and Latin American folk medicine, most often as a tea for diabetes and digestive complaints. Human evidence is very limited, so it should not replace proven treatments. Because it may affect blood sugar and its safety is not well studied, talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it—and avoid it during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
About Insulin Lispro Injection
What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?
Brand names: Admelog, Admelog Solostar
Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
