Vildagliptin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Tronadora interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of tronadora and antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Clinical research suggests that a combination of tronadora and Guazuma ulmifolia reduce levels of fasting glucose in patients with type 2 diabetes, including those already taking antidiabetes agents. The effect of tronadora alone is unknown. Animal research is conflicting.

Here's the gist: vildagliptin (Galvus) is one of the medicines we use to bring down blood sugar in type 2 diabetes. Tronadora, the herbal tea, may also nudge blood sugar lower on its own. So when you stack the two together, the worry isn't that one breaks down the other. It's simply that two blood-sugar-lowering effects can add up, and your levels could dip too low.

If that happens, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, hungry, or unusually tired. To be fair, the evidence here is thin and partly theoretical, drawn from a study using tronadora combined with another herb, so the real-world risk with vildagliptin alone isn't fully known. Please don't stop either one on your own. Just loop in your pharmacist or doctor and keep an eye on your numbers.
